Conference at the World Heritage Wine Museum in Tokaj

A conference entitled “Tokay, das geiterzeugende – ein europäischer Erinnerungsort” was organised in Tokaj at the World Heritage Wine Museum by the University of Vienna, Andrássy University, the University of Debrecen and the University of Tokaj,, from 13-16 October 2022. The fifteen presentations, which covered topics such as literature, history, medicine and geology, explored the role of Tokaj wine in shaping the image of Hungary. The lectures were given in German by Dr. Tímea Nemesné Kis and Dr. Áron Orbán. A chamber exhibition of 16th and 18th century Tokaj paintings was opened by Prof. Dr. István Monok, and the pictures were selected by Béla Szalai.
