For the first time, our University was able to appear at an international wine conference
Between June 29 and July 1, 2022, the International Conference Series on Wine Active Compounds (WAC2022) was held for the fifth time in Dijon, France, the seat of Burgundy. The conference was organized by the Jules Guyot Institute, the UNESCO Chair “Culture and Traditions of Wine” and the University of Burgundy, and the The presentations were hosted in the fabulous Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy (Palais des Ducs).
At the conference, our university was represented by Dr. Zsuzsanna Bene, associate professor of the Department of Viticulture and Oenology: she gave an oral report entitled “Fermentation products, degradation parameters, (poly)phenols and potassium content in Tokaji Aszú winemaking” as the only Hungarian participant. This is a really important milestone in the life of our university, because for the first time we were able to appear independently at an international professional wine event!
