Representing the University of Tokaj, our colleague Dr Klára Gulyás, Assistant Professor and Intercultural Officer, took part in the solemn laying of the foundation stone of the Pentecostal church now being built in “Delhi” district of Mezőberény. She was invited by Albert Durkó, head of the Hungarian Gypsy Church’s National Gypsy Mission and László Surman, director of the Gypsy Methodology and Research Center.
For our university it is very important to attend events related to ethnic / minority culture, and to participate in the field of social inclusion because we think that this provides an opportunity for local communities as a whole to declare the acceptance of ethnic cultures and the importance of peaceful coexistence.
On behalf of all the citizens of our university, we wish the Hungarian Pentecostal Church and people of “Delhi” district of Mezőberény success of the Pentecostal Church.
