University delegation visited Rákóczi Castle in Borša, Slovakia

The renovated Rákóczi Castle was inaugurated in Borša, Slovakia last year. As it is known, Ferenc Rákóczi II. was born here on March 27, 1676. An exhibition space and leisure center meeting the requirements of the 21st century, have been established in the building operated by the Teleki László Foundation. Built in a renovated medieval castle, the interactive exhibition shows the life and age of the “great prince”, that is not only a tourist attraction, but has enormous potential for education – even for university students.

A delegation of university leaders, led by Rector Prof. Dr. Gábor Bolvári-Takács, visited the castle on March 17, 2022 to learn about the opportunities offered by the institution and the possible forms of cooperation. The delegation was received by Zsuzsanna Nagy, head of the castle, in the company of her staff.

During the visit to the leisure center and the exhibitions, the framework of a cooperation agreement was outlined, which will provide an opportunity for the university to use the facilities offered by Rákóczi Castle as a place of training and internship during its education.
